Dear all,

we plan to invest some development efford for standardizing the 365 Tube solution in an own package.

The idea is to create core features for an easier deployment. Afterwards, we will provide some plugins to turn on different cloud services for storage (Azure, Amazon S3, SharePoint...).

Do you have something else to add?

prices for sharepoint online storage (Office 365) dropped recently (March 2012) - thumbnail and videos could be now stored in a doc library within the Office 365 security context, this requires an HTTP POST uploader in the transcoding service - size restrictions per file and delivery performance unknown

please share your views and thoughts

FAQ

What is the aim of this project?
The aim of 365 Tube is to verify the feasibility if we are able to build an enterprise-2.0 version of a Youtube-like Podcast library completely in the cloud.

What I am allowed to do with this project?
Currently we provide a WSP file for testing and modifications. We are going to provide professional packaging in the near future. If you are interested, just get in touch with us.

Storage provider "Microsoft Azure blob storage" - prices has been dropped to Amazon level in Nov 2011 - although both (Amazon S3 and Azure blob storage) provide a REST interface to access data it is not compatible --> this means re-coding of existing interfaces / how? / is there any comparision ?

Are experience how to enable AD federation in Azure for an existing Office 365 customer with E-Plan and already existing AD federation

Please share your thoughts / experiences
